Buenos Aires, December 3 (NA) – The defense of Facundo Aguilar Fajardo, the federal police officer accused of killing 7-year-old Thiago Correa, who died after being shot in the Buenos Aires locality of Ciudad Evita, has requested the case be dismissed. Sources close to the case informed the Argentine News Agency that the defendant's lawyers have subsidiarily asked Judge of Guarantees for La Matanza, Roberto Occhipinti, to elevate the case to trial for the crime of negligent homicide. "Ultimately, that was the legal qualification established by the magistrate, but he can elevate the cause with a different caption than the one requested by the prosecutor," a source close to the investigation stated.
